Parents can gain critical insights into their child’s growth and performance through The Athletic Mindset Assessment, helping them foster an athletic mindset for parents that supports success on and off the field.
How Our System Supports Parents
Our system provides parents with detailed, easy-to-understand feedback about their child’s strengths, areas for growth, and overall mental approach to sports. This insight allows parents to tailor their support, encouragement, and guidance in ways that reinforce positive habits, motivation, and confidence.
Through clear reporting and actionable recommendations, parents can track progress over time, celebrate achievements, and intervene proactively when challenges arise. By understanding the principles of the athletic mindset for parents, caregivers are empowered to create an environment that nurtures resilience, perseverance, and a love for the game.
Bridge the Communication Gap
One of the greatest challenges for sports parents is knowing what to say during the "car ride home." By utilizing mental performance training for athletes, you shift the conversation from a critique of physical errors to a supportive dialogue about mental approach. Our Parent Report provides a specific blueprint that helps you understand if your child is struggling with "Arousal Control" or if they simply need a different style of "Feedback Acceptance."
Instead of asking generic questions, you can use the data to offer targeted encouragement. This objective insight reduces the friction often caused by subjective coaching from a parent. When you speak the same language as the assessment, your child feels understood rather than judged. This alignment is the key to maintaining a healthy parent-athlete relationship while simultaneously pushing for elite-level development.

I really enjoyed taking this survey. I thought it was very accurate and useful. I
really wished that I had taken this survey during my competing years but I can
still use these development plans and results to really look at myself more clearly.
It defnitely made me take a step back to see what I have been doing and gives me
ways I can perform better, focus more, and help more with my mental health.
- Adam Hidais
The Athletic Mindset assessment was very accurate. I agree one hundred percent with my
results and reading it was crazy to see how accurate it was. I found myself taking
pictures of my results and sending them to old teammates and recommending the
test to them as well.

Long-Term Developmental Health
Beyond the immediate season, focus on improving mental toughness in sports prepares your child for life's challenges outside of the arena. Attributes like "Grit," "Integrity," and "Dealing with Setbacks" are transferable skills that build a foundation for academic and professional success. Our system helps parents identify these emerging character traits early, allowing for a proactive approach to character building.
By monitoring these situational mindsets, parents can spot signs of burnout or declining "Intrinsic Motivation" before they lead to an athlete quitting the sport. We provide the tools to keep the "Willingness to Learn" high by celebrating growth in mental metrics, not just points scored. This holistic view ensures that the young athlete stays engaged, resilient, and equipped with the psychological tools necessary to navigate high-pressure environments at every stage of their maturation.
